Calling on the creativity of local kids
Calling on the creativity of local kids
The National Water Week poster competition is back!
We’re excited to announce that the National Water Week poster competition is now open for entries.
Children from primary schools and 4-year-old kindergartens within our service area are invited to design a poster on this year’s theme ‘United by Water’, which highlights the important role water plays in bringing individuals and communities together.
Let your creativity flow like a river as you bring the theme to life by creating a colourful A3 poster. Posters can use any art material, medium or technology – from crayons to computer-generated imagery.
Westernport Water will award prizes to the best three posters in each age category, including 4-year-old Kinder, Prep, Grade 1-2, Grade 3-4, and Grade 5-6. The winners will also be entered into the state-wide poster competition, where they will be judged against participants from other regions – for even greater prizes!
Students can win vouchers up to $100 for themselves or a substantial $1,000 for their school, which can be utilised towards a sustainability project, water efficiency products, or educational materials of the school’s choice.
Last year, we received a massive response with over 200 entries from 6 schools. We challenge all participants to help us surpass that number of entries this year!
The deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday, 1 September 2023. Winners will be announced during National Water Week (16-22 October).

We can’t wait to see the amazing work of young artists in our community!
