What to expect
We will keep you up to date throughout the process, providing you with two letters. The first letter will be project information and the second will notify you of the specific dates of works at least 7 days prior to vapour test and inspections.
When you receive a follow up letter detailing the dates of the inspection for your property, please lock up or control your dog/pets on the day of the test.
During the testing process, Westernport Water will need to enter your yard. We will not need to enter your house. You do not need to be home.
After the vapour testing
If cross connections or defects are identified during the Vapour testing process, we will work directly with the homeowner to create a plan for addressing the non-compliance.
In some cases, customers may need to pay for repairs to be done on their properties – we will support these customers by providing tailored and discreet assistance where needed.
If building or plumbing standards are not met and rectification works are needed, we will work directly with effected residents to create a plan for addressing the non-compliance.
