Phillip Island and San Remo population is growing and we are growing with it

In 2021 we upgraded the Cowes Wastewater Treatment Plant to meet population growth and changing demands.

A new 24m diameter clarifier was constructed to improve performance and enhance the quality of treated wastewater, which is either reused in the community as recycled water or, once treated to a high quality that meets EPA requirements, discharged to the Bass Strait.

Construction of the $5.1M infrastructure project took place between February 2021 and December 2021 and was completed in time for the busy tourism season.
